Hi is it possible to set up spot scanning
mode using the Leica SP8. I am
trying to replicate Zeiss spot scanning
mode---time series.

John,

what exactly do you mean by spot scanning? Scanning with a spot
(excitation volume) is what a confocal does anyway.

If you mean parking the beam on a specific spot (i.e. *not* scanning),
you can do that. We use that when measuring the laser power. Therefore
the procedure is explained in the respective protocol on our web site:

(sorry for the long URL)

Best

Steffen

Thanks for the response Steffen, parking the beam not scanning is the set up we use with the Zeiss software in spot scan mode but could find spot scan setting within the Leica software
